August Favorites- aka. The Reason for My Tears

I'm literally living in denial that August has come and gone. What do you mean I start school in a week? Pch you're crazy *nervous laugh*.
I suppose this was a good month to end summer on. I got to travel and get rid of my hate disinterest for Paris (I'm secretly a little in love with it now but don't tell anyone), WATCH FREAKING ALT-J LIVE (which you will read more about below) and, you know, do all the things you do in Summer (water fights, sleepovers, eating my body weight in junk food. That last one totally only happens in Summer. Hmm.)
Anyway, I'm spiraling. These are the most notable things from this month.

I've finally found The One (pair of dungarees, that is). They're a little lighter than the ones I showed you in my Summer Wishlist but except that, they tick all the boxes. Comfortable? Check. Hides food baby? Check. Can be worn without a bra? Double check. They're a little bigger than I would've liked though, but that's only because I was in a rush when I picked them up and didn't even bother trying them on.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
I've been lusting over this palette for years. It's the best for eyeshadow noobs like me that don't know the difference between lightly applying and packing the color on (You should've seen my first attempts at eyeshadow. Yish.) I bought the mini one because the big one overwhelmed me a little and, to be honest, I really wanted the travel bag they offer when you purchase 3 travel-sized products... My favorites colors so far are Foxy and Naked 2 but I'm slowly easing myself into the darker tones.

Kiko Velvet Mat Lipstick in 610.
I was on the hunt for the perfect brown lipstick for a long time, and I think I finally found it (The fact that it was the last one in the store and that all the women around me were giving me nasty looks because I snatched it first kinda confirmed that). Again it's matte, like all my lipsticks and like the few I've mentioned before, it's pretty moisturizing. I like pairing it with the Foxy eyeshadow I mentioned above, some Lancome mascara and a cute half-bun. For a complete '90s look, wear dungarees and a scrunchie. You can never go wrong with dungarees and a scrunchie.

Favorite movie: Inside Out by Pete Docter (Not only were a bunch of my faves in it (and perfect for their roles too- Phyllis Smith as Sadness? Genius), it literally played out something I've been imagining my whole life! I always thought there were people up there controlling everything.

I spent my time either awwing or laughing and I've gotta admit, I teared up a bit at the end. Definitely one to check out if you haven't already (I watched it twice, that's how good it was!))

Favorite song: Something Good by alt-J (I've been obsessed with this song lately! I was lucky enough to watch them perform live and it was insane. The singer didn't always hit the right notes but except that, the show was really good: The lights were on point, the guitarist was literally oozing sex appeal and the overall vibe was really cool)

Favorite TV Show: That '70s Show! (I don't know how it took me so long to get to it, but I'm finally there. The first season was hilarious, I think I finished it in 2 days but I gotta admit, the second season is not as good. Also, considering that's kind of my dad's generation, it's nice to get a look into what his adolescence probably looked like)
