5 Tips to Get You Through Revision Week
Finals week is hell. There's no point sugarcoating it- it's true. But what's even worse is revision week, when you have all the temptations in the world at the tip of your fingertips (perfect beach days, Game of Thrones Season 6,...) but you have to renounce them all so you can lock yourself in your house and study for a stupid, meaningless test that's the least important thing you'll do in your life (As you can see, I totally believe in the French educational system).
Over the last few years I've gathered quite the insight on surviving revision week, so I've decided I'd bestow upon you my wisdom in hope that it will help you (Or that I'm actually telling you something new- These tips are pretty basic).
1. Study groups are key: I personally find it incredibly hard to study on my own. I get distracted by my surroundings really easily (For example, I was just studying when I glanced at my computer and had the idea of writing this post. My flashcards are glaring at me right now) and I become the queen of procrastination.
Other than just motivating you, being with people also helps keep your moral up when you start a downward stress spiral (which you will- if you haven't already. Just a heads up!)

2. Invest in comfy sweatpants: You are going to live in them for a week (Two actually, if you count finals week. Unless you're one of those wacky people that dress nicely even when they have exams. Props to you my friend). Comfortableness is key people!
3. Never take on more than you can handle: Don't come up with a ridiculous planning where you have to get 10 chapters down a day. You're gonna feel stressed the whole time and are just gonna skip through things in order to get everything done. Set a realistic goal and work towards it calmly and in your own time.
4. Be disciplined: Turn off all your devices and lock them in a drawer far, far away. Don't even think about "just checking to see if I got any important message"- No one is texting you anything important right now because everyone is studying for the exams you should be studying for (This is a pep talk to myself- As you can guess, I'm not the most disciplined human out there). My friends also like using a reward method with themselves like "I'll finish two history chapters and reward myself by ordering really good food"(that method makes me uncomfortable because it kinda makes me feel like I'm a dog giving itself treats).
5. Always take time out to relax: It's very easy to get wrapped up in all the things you still have to do and the mountains of stress on your shoulders (I would know!) but there comes a time when you're just not being productive anymore and there's no point in stressing out about it. Set an hour at which you're gonna stop studying and spend the rest of your evening hanging out with your family or catching up on shows (I don't know how but I've managed to avoid a lot of GoT spoilers.. Pretty proud of myself).
At the end of the day, they're only finals, everyone's been through them at some point or another. They neither define you nor categorize you in any way. You just have to get through them with a level-head and then summer will be all yours!
Good luck to everyone out there passing their finals this week. I'll see you on the other side!
