A Christmas Wishlist

I am a huge fan of Christmas. I love the trees, the music, the decorations, pretty much everything about it. This year however, I've failed to get in the spirit. It might have to do with the fact that global warming is making it impossible to be cold- or even chilly- in Beirut, or that none of my friends/family are really into this holiday. But I thought, to get me in the spirit, I'd create a wishlist of what I want for Christmas. Some of these things I might actually get, some are a bit unusual to ask as gifts and some are just outrageously expensive and out of my league (a girl can always dream, right?)

Before we start unpacking everything, you will notice that I am a basic bitch that follows trends. It's okay, I've embraced it.

1. I have been obsessed with this Zara jacket since last winter, but can't really justify getting it (even though it's not that expensive) because I really wouldn't get any wear out of it in Lebanon, where the winters are mild to say the least. This is why I think the second jacket, which is from Zara as well, is perfect. I love the length, the structure, the pattern, everything about it. And I think it would go perfectly with item n.2.

2. I have always been really into hats as I (personally) think they suit me quite well. I love the baker boy hat trend that swept the world recently, because I think those hats are super cool and can really pull a mundane outfit together. I love the black, but I also think grey checkered (like the Zara jacket) is pretty cool too. 

3. Now this is when it gets ridiculous. I have been looking for the perfect black every day bag for almost two years now, and I've come to the conclusion that it's one of those items that just has to be high end. This Gucci handbag in particular has had me swooning for a while now, because it's simple enough to work as an everyday bag but classic enough to be used for just about any occasion. If I was swimming in cash I'd buy it in black and red, because it's beautiful and stays classic in both colors. Of course, I would never ask this for Christmas, but there's no harm in wishing it magically appears under my tree.

4. I'm not a huge heels person, but I do love a heeled pair of ankle boots. The ones in my collage are from IRO, but this style is so en vogue right now that I'm sure I could find similar ones anywhere. Although I love them in black, I've also seen a pair of Gianvito Rossi ones in crushed blue velvet that are to die for. I also think red leather ones are really badass. Now I want all of them...

5. I've really gotten into earrings lately, particularly statement ones. I'm not necessarily looking for this particular pair, but I wouldn't mind having "Bad Bitch" etched on either side of my head at all. Pretty badass, those hoops.

6. I'm super late to the party, but recently I've seen bits and pieces from Rupi Kaur's poetry books online and felt really drawn to them. I loved what I read, and really want to explore more of her writings. 

7. I just really need a new laptop, so why not ask for a Macbook pro? It's only bloody $2000.

8. I hinted to my sister that I wanted this game pretty badly so I know she's getting me it for sure and I'm really excited. It's gonna be really fun to play during the holiday with my friends and family. 

9. So this is a bit of a weird thing to ask for Christmas, but I really need some storage space for all my makeup. It was fine to keep them in bags when I had two lipsticks and a mascara, but the collection is growing and I really wanna display it in a organized manner. Unfortunately, we don't have Muji in Lebanon so I really don't know where I could get some good acrylic storage. Any recommendations are more than welcome!

10. Can I ask for snow? As I've said above, the weather is shit and it's making me sad that I can't wear a jacket without sweating. I know I'll regret this when it starts pouring rain and it's freezing cold, but I just need it to be coat weather. I don't think that's too much to ask!
