Happiness

Recently we had an English class on happiness where our teacher asked us to write 5 things that make us happy and explain why. He then asked us to post them on any social media outlet and to write people's responses down of what makes them happy for our next class.
                             So here we go:

1/Reading In The Sun: If I could do one thing for the rest of my life (except eat), it would be to read. I have no shortage of imagination and can literally imagine anything I read. And reading in the sun, I found, is one of the most relaxing things ever. It's really nice and warm. To those who don't like reading, I suggest the tanning, it's also quite nice.

2/Good Books/Movies/Music: There's always this sense of satisfaction that accompanies a good book or movie or song. I really like discovering new things to read or watch or listen and knowing I didn't waste my time on something absolutely horrible is always a good thing. It really makes me happy when something makes me think and put things into perspective and it's always good (and a little scary) when a complete work of fiction does it.

3/Spending Quality Time With My Friends and Family: The way I see it, the most important things in life aren't prized possessions. They're the friends that you acquire and the relationships you form throughout your life and so spending time with my friends and family is really important to me. It's just a time when I can be myself and even though we're not doing anything, it's still the best time.

4/Helping People: Yes, I know what you're gonna think "Oh blah blah blah she likes to help people, as if, she just wants us to think she's a good person". I mean it would never hurt to hear people say I'm a good person but no, I genuinely really like helping people. It gives you the biggest sense of satisfaction just being nice. One small thing you do can affect people way more than you think and make their day. And weirdly, making people happy makes me happy so you know, that's that.

5/Letting Go : You would not believe what letting go feels like. It's like this huge weigh that you've been carrying for far too long to remember why has been lifted off your shoulders and it's just so good to feel nothing about things that made you feel so bad before. It's just really awesome not caring anymore.
As a whole I think really anything can make you happy if you choose to let go of the bad and focus on the good in life. If you are still skeptic, go check out Mr.Happy Man on YouTube, he'll change your mind.
I want everyone that read this post to tell me what makes them happy and why, it will be greatly appreciated.
