The October Favorites!
The favourites are back! Hooray! October was definitely better than September (sanity-wise and all that jazz) and it looks like I've discovered a few things this month, like my love for crafts and fire hazards. Who knew?
Over the past year or so, I've been collecting pictures and quotes that I really like to make a sort of collage/mood board where I can pin things that inspire me (Like that picture of Colton Haynes. Totally inspiring *swoon*) and unpin things when I don't like them/relate to them anymore. I really got into it this month and although it's still a work in progress, I really like how it's going so far: Every picture means something to me (Really trying to follow that "Life Begins at The End of Your Comfort Zone" one but it's really hard, isn't it?) and I'm very fond of every memory these pictures hold.
Hopefully I'll get back to you in the near future with the finished result (There's a very funny polaroid picture that's going on there and just thinking about it makes me giggle).
I'm very much a candle person; whenever I'm stressed or nervous or feeling like poop I burn one and I don't know why or how, but it instantly makes me feel better (Which is a bit ironic because I've already had a fire incident at home).
This one is my prefered option for the Autumn time; it's a rich vanilla scented candle that smells so good I swear I could eat it (You all know how bad I am at describing things so just imagine what it smells like, okay?). I think Bath&Body Works are the best at candle and homey stuff, plus- how cute is the packaging? (I swear sometimes I feel like I'm 30 years old).
Okay so you know how at school you're always asking around for tissues or wet wipes or essentials like that? Well in a rush of organisation I decided to buy a little pouch to store school essentials in so that I can always be prepared. In it I keep chapstick, mascara (a swipe of that stuff and you can kinda look alive at 7 AM, what a miracle), a hair clip, wet wipes, aspirin, a spare hairdband (Cause when a hairband is borrowed, it's "borrowed" forever) and tissues. There's usually a pack of gum in there as well but you know what happens to gum at school..
You can ask around, I was super proud of this it's actually a bit sad. Oh well.
Favourite TV Show: American Horror Story: Freak Show. You can read my little review/ramble about it here.
Favourite song: Behind These Hazel Eyes by Kelly Clarkson. An oldie but a goodie (I say oldie, it was released in 2004. Omg I just realized that was a decade ago. I need a minute.)
Favourite book: My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. I saw it on my bookshelf on a particularly sad evening and thought "Meh, why not?" and I'm glad I did because I loved it. It's quite an easy read that will make you laugh, cry and everything in between.
The favourites are the posts I enjoy writing most, it felt good writing this one. What was your favourite thing in October?
| This picture went through a lot of cropping and re-adjustement, excuse the poor quality. |
