Let's Talk: Stress!

The first installement of Let's Talk went down really well, so here's another one for you today! Let's Talk: Stress! (Obviously, everyone gets stressed out and no one wants to hear me complaining about my stress but just, hear me out okay?)

Life lately has been a little bit hectic- It's been a continuous stream of deadline after deadline and test after test and school from 7AM to 5PM everyday (+ tests on Saturdays. Ugh). It's been a go-go-go kind of month where everything you do everyday is basically School-Eat-Study-Sleep. Although I am the kind of person that likes doing things and being busy, I've got to admit it's taking quite a toll on me (Not gonna lie, I did break down once in a hormonal fit and I'm sure if I wasn't experiencing it, I would've laughed at how ridiculous I looked).
And it's weird, but after all these tests that I could've been more prepared for and essays I could've done better, I realized that it's okay to fail sometimes. It's okay to not get a perfect grade on your maths test (Which, btw, I completely failed) and to not have time to study your vocab words and to prioritize french over economics. It's stupid to put it like that but I'm sure if you've been/are a student then you understand the pressure that is put on us-by the teachers, by the piers, and sometimes even by ourselves. We are put into such stressful environments that, sometimes, we stop rationalizing things and forget that it's okay to not be perfect.
So I guess if you're in a similar position, the only advice I can give you is to take a step back and breath. You can't let stress dictate you otherwise you're screwed; my advice is to start getting organized: Write a to-do list by order of priority and start checking things off (Tip: Always do the big assignements first, even if you don't want to), it will make you feel so much more composed and in control of your work load. Even if you're a bit late on your revision, know when to stop. Get a good night's sleep and find time to study when you can. Don't start at the last minute and whenever it gets to be a little too much, take a break and get a cup of tea and just relax for 20 minutes (I usually take The Office-breaks in between studying to wake me up and stay sane. Works well most of the time).
As a person who, up until two weeks ago, handled stress by yelling "fuck it" and going to sleep, I can assure you organisation is the key to a stress-free life. Also, if you're ever put into a stressful situation you don't want to be in, know that you have the power to walk away from it. You are the master of your own fate and all that.

Tell me what you think of this installement of Let's Talk and what you want to see next!
How do you handle stress?
