That Awkward Moment
(To all you Zac Efron fans, this isn't a movie review. Soz. Hope you stay and read the rest anyway).
Awkward moments. We've all had them, whether it be in school, with your friends or even at home. Being the world's most awkward human being, I have more than a few of those moments scarred in my brain for me to cringe at whenever they feel like making an appearance (Which is always). But instead of storing them and never bringing them up, I thought I'd recount some that I'm sure most of you have already experienced before (Most of these stories include suspiciously bad timing from everyone. Isn't that the story of my life anyway?)

- The minute I get home from anywhere, I'll take my clothes off and just hang around in my underwear and a shirt,(Please don't get a visual) even if I have to re-leave soon. So this one time, I'm just chilling in the living room when the bell rings. I was expecting my sister to come home so I didn't check before opening the door. It wasn't my sister. There stood the concierge, awkwardly looking at everything expect me and asking if my mom was home. Needless to say I was mortified (You'd think I would've learned to check the door after that but of course not. It happened again a short while later; opened my door and there stood my sister and her very hot friend. Thank god they pretended nothing was wrong or I would've just died right there).
- A few months back, I was getting ready to go out, trying different outfits on. I found a hat and decided to wear it which made my sister laugh for whatever reason (I look awesome in hats, okay?) so I decided to throw on a little performance and wear lots of ridiculous stuff and walk around the house. Then, of course, the doorbell rang. I just assumed (I always assume, don't I?) it was my dad who came to pick me up and opened the door. I'm pretty sure you can guess the rest. It was a family friend (Who, on top of everything, went to the same school as me). I can't even deal with myself right now.
- Just opposite my house, there's a building in construction with workers there almost all the time. It's really close to my building so you can actually see it pretty well from the balcony and windows and stuff. This one time, I was just laying on my bed, reading (still in my shirt and underwear), minding my own business. I turn around and glance at my window where I see one of the construction dudes just staring at me. I had forgotten to draw the curtains. Awesome.
- This actually happened this week and I don't really find it that awkward but at the time, I was a bit mortified. So I'm in the hallway talking to my friends about their SAT class and stuff when a hot guy passes by us. One of my friends, talking about a girl next to us, says "that's Karine". I heard Karim. I-assuming the guy just went in class-asked "Oh who, the hot guy?". Turns out he was behind me and actually heard me. It was pretty humiliating but oh well, who cares.
