Back to School We Go
It's that time
of the year again; when there's only one week left before school starts
and you're scrambling to do everything you didn't do this summer (Like get out of the house and have a life).
I have a lot of mixed feelings about school: I enjoy learning new things that are gonna be important for me down the line and meeting new people but I can't handle the school work and the teachers. It's just-I find it so pointless to assign this much homework and stress kids out for nothing. I personally get stressed very easily and don't handle it very well so when I go to teachers complaining about the amount of work we get and their only response is "Well you have to get used to it, you're not a kid anymore", I seriously feel like punching them in the face and dropping out of school (Dramatics aside, it really does piss me off).
Also, why do teachers have to be assholes? And that's a very serious question-the majority of them come to school looking like they'd rather be anywhere else (and then yell at us for looking the same like bro?? we're in the same boat) and give their lesson in the most monotonous and boring tone you could ever imagine. And then you wonder why I get crap grades and don't listen in class.
Students get all the blame when really our behavior depends on yours-If you're a sweetheart, I'll be a damn cupcake to you but if you're an asshole, don't expect me to come rushing to class eager to take notes and learn something new cause I ain't learning nothing from you.
This year for example, I had a really good English teacher and areally shitty less good Science teacher; both subjects I enjoy a lot and usually get good grades in. On the one hand, English was a breathe and probably my favorite course of the year and on the other, I failed Science. I'm not gonna pretend it was entirely the teacher's fault because I'm aware I could've put in a little more effort instead of doodling and taking mini naps but her voice was a damn lullaby to me. (There was also the fact that she hated me a lot and it seemed to her that every goddamn problem in the world was my fault.)
Anyway, coming into a year of important exams, I don't know how to anticipate my classes. I know getting bothered by things like this seem stupid now that I only have 2 years left in school but it's still one of the main reasons I'm not a very academic person.
Sorry if this post was all over the place I just felt like going on a rant...
What annoys you about your teachers?
.x
