All-Time Favorites
My 'favorites' posts are the ones I like writing the most because it's like a little diary of my life that I'll be able to look back on and go "Oh I remember that! Let's crack it out again!", and I think maybe you enjoy them as well (Comments would be much appreciated but for now I'll just base this on instinct. Why you no tell me things?) so I decided I'd give you the low down on my all-time favorite things.
TV Series: I remember being 10 and discovering this show called One Tree Hill on the TV dubbed in French and thinking "What is this glorious thing?" (Looking back, I realize that it wasn't the best show for a 10 year old to watch but who cares?). I've truly grown up with this show and it has taught me a lot about friendship, integrity and pain. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it it's that good.
As I'm sure you've noticed from both of my previous posts, I'm really obsessed with The Office as well. I won't get into details again but it's really, truly a fantastic show that I advise you check out if you haven't already.
Movies: My favorite movies ever (for now) are The Breakfast Club and Fight Club- I will admit I'm being a cliche but the reason everyone like these two movies is just because they're great. My first "official" post was actually about The Breakfast Club so if you want more about that, you can check it out here.
Fight Club, however, I've never talked about as I only got to watch it a couple of months ago. I don't even have words for this movie except "It's fucked up and I love it". I feel like if I tried to describe it I would just diminish its worth but really, you need to watch that movie at least once in your life.
Song: I'm very versatile when it comes to music and can listen to and enjoy just about everything, but weirdly, the songs that really stick with me are always sad, kind of self-depracating songs, like Mad World by Tears For Fears. The lyrics are so powerful and the singer's voice radiates so much sadness- it's one of those songs you listen to when you're sad and just want to soak in that sadness for a while. Not the best for your moral but surely a great one for your ears.
Book: Now, I've had to scan my bookshelf profoundly to find my "favorite" book because I think it's really hard to have a favorite book when you're basically a book worm, but my "favorite" (God how many times have I said favorite in this sentence!?) for now is Eleanor&Park by Rainbow Rowell. That book is everything; it's so sweet and funny but also touches on really important matters so for the 1000th time in this post, I strongly advise you check it out.
Jewellery Piece: This is a weird thing to put into this post but if I'm gonna talk about my all-time favorite things, this needs a mention. I got this ring in Accessorize 6 years ago and have been wearing it every day since; it's actually moulded itself into the shape of my finger because of how much I wear it. Weird, I know. It's supposed to spell out "Love" but the "L" got ripped off in a waxing accident (that's a story for another time) so now it doesn't make much sense but I still love it. It's one of those things that, past a certain point, you can't live without and freak out if you can't find it for even a split-second. Anchors and all.
This post is getting real long so I'm gonna wrap it up here or else I'd be at it for the next month.
Do tell me if you liked this post and if maybe you'd like a part 2!
