December Favorites

First off, I wanna start this post by apologizing for the lack of posts in the past two months. You wouldn't understand how busy these months have been. It was crazy. But that's a story for another time. On the bright side, my favorites have been piling up and I have a really great selection for you this month. Hope it will be good enough to forgive me. Stop pushing it? Okay...

Tee-shirt from Cotton On.
I've really been into the 70's fashion lately which explains this shirt. I usually don't like pink but I don't know why I was really drawn to this shirt. The print (and the saying) reminded me of 'That 70's Show', which I love. I have only worn it twice (The first time I got chocolate fondue all over it and I literally saw my life flash before my eyes. What can I say? Fondue puts me in some kind of state) and both times I wore it with that skirt (picture below). It's not really something I can wear during the winter but I think it'll be a great addition to my spring wardrobe.

Skirt from Zara
I don't think I've ever loved an item of clothing like I love this skirt. I got it when I was in Paris a couple of months ago and I've gotten a load of wear out of it, whether it's with crop tops or long-sleeved shirts and tights- It's so versatile it literally goes with everything. I really love A-line shapes because I find they're really flattering to wear, and this skirt is no exception.

That show is absolutely insane. It's got those kinds of characters that you kind of love to hate and a story line that's a perfect representation of just how fucked politics are. I zoned out for like 30 seconds at the start of the first season and now I'm on the last episode and I still have trouble following. You really have to focus because it's so fast paced and everything is linked in ways you can't even imagine. It's also worth noting that Kevin Spacey absolutely kills it. I can't even begin to describe how insane of an actor he is. I'd recommend checking out the show if only for his acting skills.

This is the real story of Chris Longo, who was accused of killing his family and who, whilst on the run, took the identity of disgraced New York Times reporter Mike Finkel. The whole book follows their evolving relationship and Finkel's search for the truth.

I watched the movie recently whilst waiting for the book to arrive (It takes a month for a book to come when you order it online. A MONTH. Can you believe that?). The movie really shook me up but not nearly as much as the book did. I think James Franco made his character way more appealing than the real Longo actually is, especially during the trial (I watched a part of the trial online- that's how obsessed I became- and his attitude was appalling). I can't believe this story is real, that those characters and events are real. Reading the book, I felt like I was being played exactly like Finkel. This story is insanely disturbing and I was so captivated by it that I had genuine nightmares about it.
