Paper Towns
This isn't John Green's most famous work, having garnered more attention for books such as The Fault in our Stars and Looking for Alaska but it's definitely one of my favorite books. I think people really want to go against the hype and not like John Green but the truth is, he portrays things with such reality and depth that you can't not like him. Well, unless you're dead-set on it.
I'll admit, while I was reading this book I was a bit skeptical because it's not very easy to pull off a story like that. But surprisingly (or maybe not, Shailene Woodley did call him "a prophet"), he did. He was honest from start to end, even when it was hard to be, didn't sugarcoat anything and let us experience the characters' growth as if we were in there with them.
While I was reading this book I kept thinking that it would be such a nice story to actually watch and 2 months ago, Fox bought the rights to it! Josh Boone(Stuck in Love, The Fault in Our Stars) is set to direct and Nat Wolff(Palo Alto, TFiOS) has been cast as the lead role and I couldn't be any happier about it. He is an amazing actor and I really think he'll be a great Q.
Really good books make you think days after you've finished them, and this one stayed on my mind for a very long time. It will make you reevaluate things you were sure of and make you think of things you were unaware of.
If you've read the book then tell me what you thought of it and if you haven't, I really don't know what you're waiting for.
