Random May Favorites 2014
Today I
thought I'd write something different than usual-you know, to mix
things up and all that jazz: I decided I'd tell you about the things I've
been loving/really getting into this month.
Now I'm not an accessories person, but there's just something about hats. This
one in particular is so nice
because it's huge and black (I'm not really that much into colors (Says
the girl who came to school in yellow tights)). The material is quite
thick though so it wouldn't be very convenient wearing it in summer but then again, I live in Lebanon and you can never predict the weather (Look at me, talking about fashion! What am I
doing here?)
Other obsession? Satchels. I just find them so freaking cute and when I saw this one, I knew I had to get it. It's a pink pastel color, so lovely for this time of year and I personally find it's a really nice touch to any outfit. (This is so not my level of expertise; you can feel the awkwardness radiating from the computer screen. Bring me back to geeky stuff!!)
My
dad, a big Camus enthusiast, has been hounding me with this book for so
long saying things such as "This is a must-read!" and "You know, I read
this book when I was your age *hint hint*". So I decided I would start,
and finish it, before I turned 16 (Stupid decision. I swear, it may not
seem like it, but I do have a life).
This book truly is a must-read though and if you don't understand French then buy it in English, Arabic, whatever you'd like, as long as you read it. I promise you, it's worth it.
For
all you bookworms like myself, I found heaven and it's in the form of a
10$ metallic rectangle.
It's actually a bookmark and on it is a list of "50 Books To Read Before You Die". I made it a mission to read them all and coincidentally the aforementioned book is on that list so that's a good start!
This
is a random one.. My friend, the one I always send my articles to
before I post them in case they're horrible and I need to shut up, has
this new obsession I've been partaking in: Oats.
Bread, cookies, you name it and she has it.
Now I'm a fan of everything that's bad for you and the irony of me writing this is palpable but oats bread is seriously so much better than normal white or brown bread, and not only health-wise. I'm not gonna go all mom on you, but all I will say is: Taste it.
I know, I couldn't believe something healthy actually tasted good, too.
Now onto a list of random favorites of mine this month:
-Favorite song: Vienna by Billy Joel.
-Favorite TV Show: Revenge.
-Favorite band: He is We (Check them out, they're great)
This
is very different from what I usually write and although I do like me
some fashion, I prefer sticking to things I master so don't expect
anything fashion-related on here anytime soon (If you're into that kind
of stuff then go check out The Fashion Spot).
But I will do an exception, if and only if you liked this post and want to see more of it (Like a monthly favorite every, well.. month).
If you did like this article then please do tell, and let me know what are the things that you've been loving this month!
