Trying New Things Out

As people go, I'm the kind that gets really comfortable in a routine and doesn't like change that much. I don't usually go out of my comfort zone and when I do, it's only for a few minutes before I cower back (Same goes for the gym). I'm good with what's familiar:  My house, my room, my neighborhood. And that's probably a big reason as to why I wanna move away when I graduate. I'm so afraid of change that I have to do it before I get stuck in my little rut. I discovered that my age is perfect for change, for trying new things out. Whether it be starting a band, or a blog (mmm), get a freaking tattoo (Although I'd hold off on that one for a little bit 'cause you don't wanna look back in 20 years and ask yourself what the hell was going on in your mind), you should step out of your comfort zone as often as you can, even if it's for a little while, and experience the world outside of your little bubble. It will give you a perspective on things that you'll need later on.

I remember my dad telling me this a while ago, that life begins at the end of your comfort zone, and it stayed with me since then. How will you ever discover what you like if you don't try new things out from time to time?
You shouldn't push yourself to do things you don't wanna do but if it's generally something that makes you really happy than do it! If you're afraid of what people might say, screw them! Surround yourself with people that will always accept you no matter what and that challenge you to be a better person.
If you're still not sure about that, take baby steps. Write a bucket list and gradually tick things off. I wrote on my bucket list that I wanted to cut my hair shorter than usual and dye it a silvery lilac (picture below) and I'm gonna do it at the start of summer. (Probably looks better on the model than it will on me but whatevs)
Considering I'm not that much of an adventurous person this is a big step for me but I'm glad I'm having the guts to do it and I really hope you'll take what I say into consideration.
